i write plays for friends and strangers.
here's what's been going on with some of them:

PREFER VIEWS TO NEWS?
here's an interview i enjoyed doing
My two-hander adaptation of Willa Cather's bittersweet novella THE BOHEMIAN
kicked off the season at HARBOR STAGE headquarters.
Homespun tale, homemade bread, a new bite at a classic story.
Doctor of Theatre and general chaos, Emily K. Harrison, will bring
my screwball nightmare UBU ROAR to life at HAMILTON this fall.
Join us NOVEMBER 7-15 for a tale as old as tyrants.
Très, très excité to be headed to the American Library of Paris as a Scholar of Note in Spring 2026.
While in residence I'll be working on a new piece about Julia Child, a fierce, funny hero of mine.
Bread, butter, bon appetit.
And not to get too français, but the adaptation of CYRANO Jason O'Connell and I put together
will have its west coast premiere next summer at the OLD GLOBE.
Small cast, big nose, love to spare. We'll run in San Diego JULY 18-AUGUST 9.
My little-plays-that-could, OFF PEAK and THE DING DONGS, have been enjoying
some wonderful productions across the country, thanks in large part to their publication with TRW Plays.
They are great beach reads if you read them on the beach.
Excited to have the innovative, delightful folks at UPROAR THEATRICALS licensing
THE DEER AND THE ANTELOPE, my offbeat look at law and disorder.
Check out Uproar's growing catalogue here; they're an incredible company sharing new plays in new ways.
